Corrupted Coral

The seas will rise up
The sky will fall down
Like her pretty face,
Framed in Deceits own crown

A gigantic sea of untold depth

I dive into gray and liquid night
In the water is a colored, shining, ray
The bold coral, at the edge of sight
It looks better, brilliant, and far away

Because once close I see the shape

For what it truly was
A rotting, fallen moral
My hearts electric buzz
At this corrupted coral

I touch the coral and feel it shudder

I rend and tear at the rot
But can't find it anymore
Even a slightly undamaged spot
In the corals shattered core

And as it rolls off the ledge
Its very last bit of soul,
It calls me to follow off the edge
And I swim from its final pull
