Fireplace

Out in the cold
Clothed from feet to face
Your heart beckoned
Like a warm fireplace

You told me to sit down
And sleep through the night
I thought love was found
What else could burn so bright

Starting to lose heat
I threw in my clothes
Fire burning fleet
The cold had arose

My soul had been sold
As i payed the price
Naked in the cold
My body turned to ice

Life is so full and fleeting
And the winter will thaw through
But will your heart be beating?
Will it stay awake for you?
